Thor the on line slot game, or to give it its full name Thor the Mighty Avenger slot game, took its time reaching the market. This is another Playtech game and it’s a Marvel feature. Don’t confuse it with the Cryptologic version, which we have yet to get too but understand has its followers. For many though this Thor online slot is the daddy. So what makes it special?
Well for a start let’s get to the basics, it’s a 5 reel, 30 payline slot. Each spin in real money will cost you between 30p and £600 depending on your wallet and minerals. As far as the game symbols, the low value ones are 10, J, Q, K and A. The higher value symbols are all characters from the movie, with most valuable being Loki, Odin and Thor himself.
The scatter symbol is Thor’s hammer. Thor is the wild card and the Gatekeeper is an extra bonus symbol. There are numerous bonus games and much game time will be spent discovering them. On Earth the middle reel features just a Thor wild and the Gatekeeper symbol which returns you to the Rainbow Bridge. Reel five includes the creature who will blast the reels with fire, holding them in place for between 1 – 4 spins. On Jotunheim, Thor and the Gatekeeper once again appear on reel three but an extra wild is added. As part of a win it freezes the entire win line to ensure an equal or better on the next spin.
Superb graphics and sound come as standard on Playtech releases but with Thor they raised the bar slightly. Or maybe that was just the Natalie Portman image….?
