NYX Gaming Group Limited (TSXV: NYX) has announced that they have acquired another games development studio, Montréal based Side City Studios Inc. on November 20th 2015. NYX Gaming Group purchased Side City Studios through it’s wholly-owned subsidiary, NYX Digital Gaming (Alberta) Inc for 333,000 ordinary shares of NYX and a maximum performance-based cash payment of CAD $4.0 million. The move will see NYX strengthen their content delivery in North America as Side City is a game development and design studio that focuses on direct contracts with game manufacturers and casino content for both online gaming and land based North American venues. Popular Side City titles include American Star, Movie Star, Diamond Wealth, Strike of Fire, Show Girls, and Lucky Fish.

NYX Gaming Group have been producing their casino content through their Australia based studio, NextGen Gaming, so the move to acquire Side City provides NYX Gaming Group with an excellent base in North America to expand its development capabilities in the talent rich market of Montréal.
